This is a really useful technique to get to grips with, even if you’re not planning to mend anything and you’d just like to add a bit of interest to an existing sweater.

Mending a hole with swiss darning is a bit more complex than standard darning techniques, but creates a lovely effect, and is useful if you want a more discreet or invisible mend as it looks like knitted fabric.
