A pre-recorded video workshop on darning knitwear: learn in your own time, at your own pace.

Suitable for beginners, this workshop will teach you about visibly darning your knitwear colourfully. Covering different darning approaches of working from the front and back of the fabric and a couple of patterns, the aim of this darning workshop is to leave you confident to start repairing your own knitwear in a creative way.

You will also learn about choosing suitable materials for your project, as well as the basic structure of knitted fabrics. Common visible darning mistakes are also discussed.

This video workshop has almost 2 hours of pre-recorded instructions, that you can watch, pause, and rewatch as many times as you like. This is the same content that the Introduction to Darning zoom workshop covers, it’s just pre-recorded rather than live.

Please note you will need to download and save this document within 24 hours. The video itself is not downloadable, but you can access it as many times as you like, indefinitely.

The difference between the live zoom darning workshop and this pre-recorded workshop:

The live zoom darning workshop is an hour longer, to take into account people working at different paces, repeating instructions, and discussing individuals’ own projects. Participants are able to ask questions throughout. The recording of the zoom darning workshop is only available for 6 months.

This pre-recorded workshop does not give you the option to ask questions, although it does cover all visible darning questions and issues that come up frequently during the live workshops. You have access to it for life.
